Silkeborg’s presentation in between Nit de l’ART in Can Pep Nebot is about her first results on the topic: German-speaking writers and artists in exile on mallorca between 1931 – 1936. Anti-fascist writers and artists were forced to leave Germany after Hitler seized power. They also fled to Mallorca. For the exiles, Mallorca was a sun-drenched paradise under palm trees.
